Single-Serving Photo

About

Who Are You?

My name is Aaron Bieber. Aside from being a very serious hobbyist in the field of photography, I do a bit of freelance, and I also build websites (for a living). I started my own company a few years ago to put a name to my commercial work in the visual arts arena, and I’ve been writing about photography and posting photos on this blog for a couple of years, simply as a way to get other people involved in the excitement of creating images and talking about the mechanics of photography.

What is Single-Serving Photo?

I created this site as a challenge for myself to view the world more actively; to look at everything as a potential photographic opportunity, and to force me to practice my craft more diligently. I hope that my self-exploration can also be a source of inspiration, entertainment, and distraction for you.

I don’t expect these photographs to be award-winners by any means. Most are experimental and spontaneous, but hopefully not devoid of artistic merit. Please leave comments about the photos you enjoy, share the site with your friends, and check back every day or two. Hopefully it will be a lot of fun.

Technical Mumbo-Jumbo

Some people are obsessed with technical details. For the edification of those folks, I use a Canon EOS-5D digital SLR with a variety of lenses. Some photographs posted here will have notes on them saying “Prints Available.” If you click on any of those, they will take you to my actual gallery site where you can find more detailed information about the exposure (camera settings, etc.).

Buying Prints

I would love it if you’d like to hang any of the photos posted here on your walls. Or your fridge. Or wherever. If the photo has a note below it that says “Prints Available,” you can order prints through my website. If it doesn’t, send me an e-mail and I can whip something up for you!
